CryptoDrop is designed for use on Windows computers. It is compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10, and is designed to work on single-user workstations.
To install CryptoDrop, go to our home page at https://www.cryptodrop.org. Click on the download link to download the software installer to your computer.
Upon restart, you will see a new icon in your Windows tray. It will be greyed out for a few seconds as CryptoDrop scans all of the files in your protected directories. You can check on this progress by double-clicking the tray icon to open the main CryptoDrop window.
Once this initial scanning procedure is complete, you will see that CryptoDrop is fully set up to protect you from ransomware attacks.
In order to license your copy of CryptoDrop, make sure that the main window is open by double-clicking the tray icon. Once this is open, click the "Options" button, which will open a new window. Click the "License" tab, which will provide a space to enter your license key and email address.
When your license key and email are entered, CryptoDrop will be operating in Fast Recovery mode, as shown below.
